Mr. Aaron C.M. Krasting, our Paulsboro High School Choral Director has been selected as the 2017-2018 Senior High Conductor of the 60th Annual South Jersey High School Choral Festival, presented by The South Jersey Choral Directors Association, Inc.  The Senior High Choral group features an average of 190 students from schools all around the South Jersey area.  This is a quite prestigious group of students who are selected from approximately 1,100 who audition every year.  It is an even more prestigious honor to conduct such a talented group of singers.

Mr. Krasting has been in education for over 25 years, and even longer as a performer.  For the past 22 years, he has worked for Paulsboro High School.  Let it be known that this is not Krasting’s first time in the conductor’s spotlight, as he conducted the Junior High Chorus Festival in 2010.  The only other Paulsboro High School Choral Director to share such honor was Mrs. Kathrine Murphy in 1983.  Mr. Krating’s musical talent and his ability to share his skills with his students is evident while during his tenure here at Paulsboro High School, 21 of his students have been selected into the All South Jersey Chorus.

This year’s Choral Festival will be held on January 26th at 8pm and January 27th at 4pm at Washington Township High School. For more information on this event and the SJ Choral Directors Association click here

From all of us here at Paulsboro Public Schools, we congratulate Mr. Krasting and wish him the best of luck as he represents Paulsboro High School on the performing stage.
